Eiffel Excellence Scholarship for Pakistani students: how the application works
The Eiffel scholarship is not a direct student application. A French university or institution must submit the candidate, so the university conversation comes first.
The France Excellence Eiffel scholarship is often described online as a fully funded scholarship, but the details matter. It is a French government programme for international students at Master and doctoral level, and French higher-education institutions submit the applications.
The first thing to understand: you do not submit it yourself
Campus France states that applications are submitted exclusively by French higher-education institutions. That means your first job is to identify a suitable programme and ask the institution whether it will consider and nominate your profile for Eiffel.
What does the scholarship provide?
At Master level, Campus France states a monthly allowance of €1,200 from January 2026, plus services including international and national transportation, insurance, housing-search support and cultural activities. The Eiffel programme itself does not simply pay every tuition fee; the applicable public-institution tuition rules and programme arrangements should be checked separately.
Which fields are covered?
The current programme covers specified areas in science and technology and humanities and social sciences, including mathematics and digital, engineering sciences, biology and health, ecological transition, law and political science, economics and management, and history, French language and civilization.
How a Pakistani applicant should prepare
- 1Choose a programme that matches your academic background.
- 2Build a strong academic and professional profile with a clear CV and motivation.
- 3Contact the French institution early and ask about Eiffel nomination.
- 4Prepare the institution’s admission application first.
- 5If the institution agrees to support the nomination, follow its Eiffel submission process and deadline.
- 6Keep the scholarship process separate from the later student-visa process.
Do not confuse Eiffel with ordinary admission funding
A university can admit you without nominating you for Eiffel, and you can have other scholarship options even if Eiffel is not available. Treat it as one funding route inside a wider scholarship strategy.
